General information about the research group NALAGMission
The NALAGroup aims at developing basic generic tools in numerical linear and multilinear algebra (in particular structured problems) and in modeling and approximation (especially splines, wavelets and rational approximation) for the solution of engineering problems.
This research includes the theoretical, the numerical and the implementation aspects of these problems.
Focus
- Solution of structured and large scale systems of linear equations and eigenvalue problems
- Development of generic linear and multilinear algebra software
- The theory of orthogonal rational functions and their applications
- Basic theory and applications of wavelets in image processing
- Geometric modeling with splines and wavelets, taking geometric constraints into account.
